Great Way To Experience Acadia!!
Acadia GEM Electric Vehicle Rentals的点评
点评：Rented a GEM off the Norwegian Getaway during our fall cruise up the east coast in October 2025. The GEM was a little on the pricey side compared to rental cars we rented in other ports of call, but in an online search of Bar Harbor businesses, we weren't able to find a rental car company close enough to be feasible aside from Acadia GEM.
The Acadia GEM office is a short walk (< 5 min) from the cruise ship tender arrival location. We had completed all of our paperwork on the rental ahead of time, which made the check in easy and fast. Within 10 minutes of arriving at the kiosk we were checked out in our GEM and on the road.
The vehicle was easy to use, very comfortable, and a fun way to see the city and the park. My wife and I were traveling with our in-laws, both in their early 80's, and the vehicle was extremely easy for them to get in and out of, with lots of head and leg room. We had plenty of battery to explore the entire park, including some back tracking to take another look at beautiful vistas, get to the top of Cadillac Mountain, complete the entire park loop, and do some sightseeing in town before returning the rental at the end of our day.
Some pictures on the site show the vehicles with the doors off, which might be nice for summer sightseeing, but we were thankful the vehicle had doors on it, which keep is dry and warm the entire day.
The park was spectacular, we enjoyed seeing the colors, and the quiet EV added to the whole experience. Highly recommend!!
