It was… okay. Maybe just a different way of living than I am used to.

点评：My partner and I were very excited to visit the Cretaquarium and explore Heraklion but we must confess that our experience wasn’t quite as we had hoped. Our pickup in a van from the hotel was a little… different to what we were used to. Our driver spent the whole journey on his phone and made multiple stops along the way which he could have done outside of our time (one of these included picking up windshield wipers??) If this is the norm in Crete/Greece I’ll hold my hands up but this isn’t typically something a taxi driver in England would do for example.
When we got to the aquarium, we were told we only had an hour which was a shame as we would’ve loved to spend more time looking at all the different species but unfortunately it all felt rushed.
We headed to Heraklion market next which could only be described as haphazard. Not only did we feel like sardines in a can amongst the market but the walk there was… interesting. The coach parked a little way from the market and we all, all 20 or so of us, were walking on a busy main road towards it, following the tour guide. This might be normal in Crete and natives may not feel fear over this, but as a tourist, with traffic coming this way and that, and being unfamiliar with road/pedestrian guidelines, I did not feel safe.
Heraklion city centre however, was a better experience to do some shopping, but I felt like it was a little too long. The events planned for the day were not very evenly distributed and I would have much preferred longer in the aquarium at the start of the day.
I was however, incredibly impressed with our guide for speaking English, German and French throughout the duration of the excursion and she was very informative and helpful.
I’m afraid, I may not plan a trip with Tourline again but I’ll admit this is a great way to find out more about and explore the island.

不过，在伊拉克利翁市中心购物的体验要好得多，但我感觉行程有点太长了。当天安排的活动安排得不太均衡，我更希望早上能在水族馆多待一会儿。
然而，我们的导游给我留下了非常深刻的印象，她在整个行程中都能说英语、德语和法语，而且知识渊博，乐于助人。
恐怕我以后不会再选择Tourline的旅行团了，但我必须承认，这确实是了解和探索克里特岛的好方法。
