点评:We attended Ninja Valley on Sunday 14th April and I wanted to make everyone aware of an incident that occurred during our visit.
While in the trampoline area, there was an altercation between two staff members that escalated into an assault which was witnessed by children. The incident was distressing and it was concerning to see such behaviour in a supposedly child friendly environment.
I was disappointed by the response of staff and management. It was clear there was a lack of preparedness in handling a situation like this as the person who committed the assault remained onsite and was pacing around clearly aggregated and made threats to us which was intimidating.
When we spoke to the owner, it was confirmed the person who committed the assault has a history of anger management issues and this was known when the person was hired but they were trying to manage it with an outsourced provider. We were also told this wasn’t the first occasion of there being an altercation, but it was first time it got physical.
I am supportive of giving people a chance but this needs to be in the right environment and a facility for children is not the right environment and we will not be returning because of this.
If the owners are going to continue to hire people with known issues that need to be managed, they need to improve their response to incidents like the one we witnessed and ensure their staff have the right training, experience and supported.
