点评：I highly recommend doing this tour. The clear kayaks made it magical. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience for us and I’m so glad we did it.
Some things to keep in mind, the kayaks are 2-person so if you have an odd number group, one of you will go with a stranger. You need to be able to coordinate movement with your kayak partner.
There is a very bumpy ride to the site in a van. The driver did his best to make it as comfortable as possible.
You have to stick with the tour group the entire time. This can create issues if one or two kayaks can’t stay with the group. There were multiple guides so one guide would wrangle up the wayward people.
It is dark out and can sometimes be difficult to see where you’re going.
Don’t worry about getting wet. I wore pants and a long sleeved swim shirt. You only get in the water up to your ankles. You do not wear shoes to/from or in the kayak.
There is no bathroom at the meeting or kayak site.
The guides were great and demonstrated how to kayak in case you’ve never been. I was nervous but once I was in the water was fine. Later they told us that the water is only a few feet deep. The water was completely still.
Make sure to go as close to the new moon (no visible moon) as possible for the best views.
You can bring your phone but it’s almost impossible to capture the bioluminescence in photos or video.
The bioluminescence was different from what I expected and it’s hard to explain it. You have to see for yourself.
If you’re planning on doing a group bioluminescence tour, I highly recommend this company. The clear kayaks make a difference.
That said, if I was to do it again, I would try to find a private tour with clear kayaks. This is mostly due to the difficulty of some people to stay with the group and follow directions. This has nothing to do with our guides or this tour company and is absolutely not their fault. Their instructions were very clear.
