点评:What a gem! We stopped at the winery hoping to enjoy a tasting. Even though we did not make a reservation, Isidoros was able to accommodate us as we joined a couple from Poland who had made reservations.
Isidoros and Virginia put so much passion and love into their craft, and it shows in their wines. So unique! Together with the tasting we were treated with sausage, cheese, fruit and breadsticks (homemade, of course). All of the wines are made with grapes from their own vineyards, and all fruit is hand picked. They try to hold to traditional wine making methods, and even experiment with ancient aging processes in amphorae. Isidoros was so informative about how they do things differently from other wineries, including bottle labeling and sealing the cork with bees wax.
We tasted 4 wines including Little Troublemaker, Do Not Disturb, Tyto Alba and a 4th that I don't recall. The sparkling wine finished fermentation in the bottle giving it both a delightful fizz and outstanding flavor.
We highly recommend visiting Thalassinos Microwinery. Be sure to make an appointment first - Isidoros and Virginia could be busy in the vineyards otherwise. And when you visit, give some love to BeeBee (their dog).
