Moving PEOPLE - Door-to-Door Holidays and Day Trips的点评
点评：I went to South Shields with 3 friends on a 4 night coach holiday.
We enjoyed the excursions. The Sunday market in Amble was excellent, as was the visit to Bamburgh, but we could have done with more time there to climb up to the Castle, as well as having refreshments in a cafe.
The hotel was very good with spacious rooms, but my 3 friends would have preferred walk in showers. Many elderly people can’t get in and out of baths and the showers were in the bath.
We were, however, told there were no walk in showers available.
I like the idea of stopping en route at hotels for refreshments, rather than at Service Stations. We had soup and sandwiches on the outbound journey and coffee/tea and cake on the return journey. Both were good, but it would have been better had we been served at tables, rather than stand waiting in a big queue to help ourselves. There were almost 60 elderly people in our group, 2 of whom were in wheelchairs and several had walkers.
Our coach driver, Tanver, was outstanding, always cheerful and funny too.
He worked really hard, particularly
getting 2 wheelchairs on and off the coach , often several times a day.
The only problem on our return was the taxi, which couldn’t fit all our luggage and a walker in the boot, so the walker had to be brought back separately.
We loved the holiday and the srea and would holiday with Moving People again. I have had a few holidays with them already and I like the meeting venue and the newspaper on the seat.
The coaches are excellent-clean and state of the art.

酒店很不错，房间也很宽敞，但我的3个朋友更希望使用步入式淋浴间。很多老年人都难以进出浴缸，而那里的淋浴间实际上是设在浴缸里的。
不过，总体来说我们还是挺满意的。有人告诉我，没有可供使用的无障碍淋浴间。
我喜欢途中在酒店而非服务站休息、享用点心的安排。去程时我们吃了汤和三明治，回程时则喝了咖啡/茶、吃了蛋糕。这两顿都很不错，不过如果能有专人将食物送到桌前，而不是让我们排着长队去自助取餐，那就更好了。我们一行有近60位老年人，其中2人使用轮椅，还有好几人需要借助助行器。我们的大巴司机坦维尔表现得非常出色，他总是乐呵呵的，还十分风趣。
他工作极其努力，尤其是负责将两辆轮椅安全地抬上抬下大巴，这种情况一天中常常要发生好几次。
返程时唯一的问题在于出租车：它的后备箱装不下我们所有的行李以及助行器，因此助行器只好另行运送回来。
我们非常喜欢这次度假以及那个地方，今后还会再次选择Moving People来安排假期。我已经和他们一起度过了几次假期，我很喜欢聚会的地点以及座位上的报纸。
巴士也棒极了——干净且设施先进。
