点评:This was an amazing day! Pete and Jackie picked us up from the train station and we drove in their hiking van to the Whangie. It was a misty day which made for an authentic Scottish hike. The scenery was beautiful. When we got to our destination, they fired up the kettle and made tea and lattes. They also made us a generous lunch which we enjoyed while gazing at the hills of the Scottish countryside. Then we went to the Devil’s Pulpit. I wouldn’t go there without a guide. It can be a dangerous place if you don’t know the correct route to take. Pete and Jackie made us feel safe while we took it all in. I was the only one in our group that waded through the water to get to the pulpit. It is really worth it to do so. If you have water proof clothing you won’t get too wet. My boots were soaked but that’s about all. The feeling of awe once you are there is indescribable. The scenery is surreal. The best part of the experience was getting to know Pete and Jackie. We thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and their stories about the area. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate this experience as a 6!
