点评：Galen Glenn Winery is located on a beautiful location. It is an interest of mine to visit Vineyards since I have family that owns vineyards in Italy. I learned so much from the Italy's wine. This vineyard reminded me a little of Tuscany and Nappa with the vineyards on hills. The tasting room is situated on top of the hills surrounded by well-groomed vineyards. An atmosphere that couldn't be more relaxing. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable of the wine. It was my first visit and while I was there, it made me curious to look up its history. The Galen Glenn winery was founded by the Troxell family who have been farming the land for generations. This is the familiar to my family's vineyards in Europe. It dates back to before my grandfather. So, I am getting intrigued learning about Galen Glenn. The farm was used for fruits before Galen and Sarah decided to plant vines. The first ones were planted in 1995. The first wines were produced in 1995. They were inspired by a German and Hawaiian wines. they used their backgrounds in engineering and chemistry to create award winning wines. The winery is named after Galen, 6th generation farmer who transitioned the farm from a long time family legacy to a modern winery. Galen Glenn is credited with pioneering the Gruner Veltliner grape. (white grape popular in Austria) He has been instrumental in its cultivation in the US.
As I was sitting in the tasting room, surrounded by a beautiful site, it made me realize that the great wine begins with excellent farming. Enjoying their Stone Cellar Reisling made me realize that. It is a wine of theirs that is very highly rated. The atmosphere and quality of wine will leave you appreciating quality wine.
