My experience throughout the home-building process has been extremely frustrating. What should have been an exciting experience of purchasing a brand-new home has instead involved ongoing issues, concerns, and disputes that I feel other buyers deserve to know about.
One of my biggest concerns has been the lack of accountability when problems arise. When you purchase a brand-new home, you expect the home to be built properly and for legitimate concerns to be addressed professionally and reasonably. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
I have also found the process surrounding deficiencies, landscaping requirements, and communication to be particularly frustrating. Rather than feeling like the builder was working with me to resolve issues, I have repeatedly felt that I had to push, document everything, and advocate for myself just to have my concerns taken seriously.
My advice to anyone considering Sehjas Homes: do your homework, read your contracts carefully, understand exactly what you are agreeing to, document EVERYTHING, and get important commitments in writing. Don’t assume that because you’re buying a brand-new home, everything will automatically be handled the way you expect.
I am sharing this review because I wish I had seen more detailed reviews from other homeowners before making my decision. Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases most people will ever make, and buyers deserve to know what the experience can actually be like—not just what is presented during the sales process.
