Kilimanjaro: Challenge and Triumph on the Lemosho Route
Summiting Africa’s highest peak via the Lemosho Route was a physical and mental challenge, but the professional and encouraging team made it possible. This route is perfect for acclimatization and offers stunning scenery. Here’s what stood out:
- Safety & Support: Daily health checks, impeccable logistics (tents, meals, drinking water), and a team that cared for each climber individually.
- Diverse Landscapes: From lush rainforests to the vast Shira Plateau and the snowy summit—every stage was a new wonder.
- Team Spirit: The guides, porters, and cooks spoiled us with songs, stories, and delicious meals (yes, even cake at 4,000 meters!). Their dedication was key to our success.

3-Day Safari: Wildlife at Its Best
After the climb, the safari was the perfect reward! Our Kisambi Tours guide (Rick) was a wildlife expert, leading us to the Big Five:
Lake Manyara: Herds of elephants and playful monkeys—wildlife magic by the lake! 🌿🐘🐒
Ngorongoro Crater: A natural amphitheater teeming with animals—we saw elephants, lions, hippos, and even rhinos! 🦏🐘🦁🦛🦓
Tarangire: Herds of elephants, towering giraffes, hunting lions, wild snakes and ancient baobabs—pure safari magic! 🦁🐍🐘🦒🌳🦓
The lodges/camps were comfortable and authentic, the food was excellent, and the open-top safari jeeps added to the thrill. We were especially moved by the guides’ respect for nature and commitment to sustainability.
