点评：We have just returned from a fabulous primate-trekking trip which far exceeded all our expectations. Our travel consultant Craig at Rainbow Tours in the UK worked tirelessly in conjunction with Nkuringo Safaris to put together an amazing itinerary for us, taking in both Rwanda and Uganda. The trip was well organised and included everything we had asked for including gorilla treks, a golden monkey trek, chimpanzee trek and a hike to Dian Fossey’s grave. Our trip was made extra special for us by our guide Remmy whose knowledge, patience and kindness knew no bounds. He explained exactly what we needed for each day’s activity and always went the extra mile, explaining about the local culture, food, flora and fauna. He really added colour to our tour helping us to spot the different birds and monkeys en route and for example making a pitstop to allow us to taste the local passion fruit unique to that area which were beautiful. His driving was impeccable and we always felt safe and well looked after. We had a mix of lodges to allow us to include more treks for our budget but our favourites were Five Volcanoes in Rwanda, who gave us a cold flannel, a cold drink and foot massage on return from each of our trips and ensured our boots and gaiters were spotlessly clean ready for the next day and Gorilla Leisure Lodge in Uganda whose staff were so kind and attentive without being intrusive and couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed all our treks, seeing gorillas in the wild created memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives but the stand out gorilla trek was in Mgahinga because it was so easy to see the gorillas in the more open terrain. Many thanks to you all for an amazing trip, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking to book a trip of a lifetime.
