点评:Our friends from Bristol took us here as they’d been before and thought it would be a nice spot. We each ordered a cocktail, which were fine. We asked to keep a tab open but were told they were too busy, so we paid straight away.
We then ordered another round. I chose a passion fruit martini while my friend stuck with an amaretto sour. When they arrived, both drinks were the same colour and, worse, extremely bitter. Our throats were burning after just a sip. We asked for them to be remade, which they did, but my friend’s drink was still bitter. I couldn’t even tell if mine was better because of the lingering aftertaste, so I left it.
We asked to speak to a member of staff and were spoken to by a young male who, frankly, made us feel like he was doing us a favour. He listed the ingredients when asked, but told us they didn’t have to remake the cocktails and did not offer a different drink. When I asked for his name so I could address the manager properly, he said :”I don’t feel like giving you my name”. We were polite throughout and there was no reason for that attitude.
The manager, Emily, was very pleasant (and had no issue giving her name!) but unfortunately there was no real resolution.
This could have been easily resolved with an offer of a different drink or a refund for the cocktails that were clearly not right.
We weren’t asking for freebies or being difficult. We paid, we were polite, and the drinks were genuinely unpleasant. One staff member choosing attitude over service is exactly how places lose repeat business and word-of-mouth. As a result, we won’t be returning or recommending this place, which is disappointing as we used to live in Bristol and have many local friends.

其实,只要提供另一种饮品或者退还明显不对的鸡尾酒的钱,就能轻松解决这个问题。
我们没有要求免费赠品,也没有故意刁难。我们付了钱,态度也很礼貌,但饮品确实难以下咽。一个员工因为态度问题而忽视服务,这正是导致餐厅失去回头客和口碑的原因。因此,我们不会再来这家店,也不会推荐给别人。这让我们很失望,因为我们以前住在布里斯托尔,有很多当地的朋友。
