点评:My visit to the Stourbridge glass museum was unplanned and, as such, was a wonderful and enlightening surprise. There was so much to see and, indeed, learn from just a couple of hours. I wish I had allowed longer but will certainly revisit.
The exhibits themselves were very interesting and I was very grateful to Heather for giving me a whistle stop tour of the museum. Her enthusiasm and advocacy for everything glass was infectious and she was a real ambassador for the legacy of the industry in Stourbridge.
A particularly touching bit of nostalgia for me personally was the remnants of the Churchill screen which I remember as a boy back in the 60s.
And I was completely blown away by the skill and completely unassuming modesty of Terri-Louise Colledge, an immensely gifted cameo glass engraver, one of a kind in a very small national field of practitioners. Her work is absolutely breathtaking.
I am certainly going to visit this museum again and take others with me. It is a real treasure trove of both a bygone age and contemporary design.

Terri-Louise Colledge
