Absolute gem! Do not make my mistake and miss out!

点评：I’ve always heard about Melin Llynon and have been meaning to visit for years. Then, on the way home, we ended up doing an emergency detour because my three-year-old desperately needed a toilet — and completely accidentally discovered it!
We initially just nipped in to use the loo. It was around 3:30pm, so sadly the famous Monuts were long gone, but we had a gorgeous vanilla iced latte, juice and a lovely piece of cake. The lady in the café was so welcoming and friendly. When I mentioned about coming and told her the ages of my children (nearly 4 and nearly 1), she told me all about what there was for them to enjoy and suggested we come back at 10am for the Monuts. She even recommended bringing a picnic and sitting on the lawn.
I’ll be honest, I’ve always had the impression — God knows why! — that Melin Llynon wouldn’t have much for children my age. How wrong I was. She was so unbelievably kind and enthusiastic about the place that I thought, you know what, let’s come back tomorrow.
And WOW. All I can say is, I’ve been coming to Anglesey for over 30 years and I have been fully missing a trick!
We arrived the next morning to the loveliest welcome from one of the chaps who works there. He went all the way down the queue greeting people and chatting to everyone — such a lovely touch. And then… the Monuts. Absolutely to die for. Worth the queue! The coffee was great too.
The whole place is just brilliant for little ones. The lawn at the front is peaceful and gorgeous to sit on with a picnic or blanket, but there’s loads of space for little legs to run around. It’s also nicely walled off from the car park, which made me feel much more relaxed with two small children.
Then there’s the windmill, the model safari, the little round huts, a jeep for the children to climb in, a playground and the buzzy bee trail. The kids can find all the animals and get a sticker at the end — exactly the sort of thing that keeps a nearly-four-year-old entertained!
And it doesn’t break the bank either. Even the shop, where you’d normally expect to be completely fleeced, was really reasonably priced.
But what really stood out was the staff. Every single person we came across — both ladies in the café, the shop assistant and the lovely chap greeting people in the queue — was genuinely friendly, welcoming and clearly cared about the place. That attitude makes such a difference.

说实话，我一直以为——天知道为什么！——梅林·利农这个地方对我这个年纪的孩子来说没什么可玩的。结果我大错特错。她对这个地方的热情与友善简直超乎想象，让我不禁想：唉，真是个好地方啊。我们明天再来吧。
天哪！我只能说，我来安格尔西岛已经30多年了，居然一直错失了这么棒的机会！
第二天早上我们到了那里，立刻受到了一位工作人员的热情接待。他沿着排队的人群依次打招呼、和每个人交谈——真是贴心的举动。然后……就是那些松饼了！简直美味到让人无法抗拒。排队的辛苦完全值得！咖啡也相当不错。
整个地方对小朋友们来说简直是天堂般的存在。前方的草坪宁静又美丽，非常适合铺上野餐垫或毯子坐着休息，也有足够的空间让孩子们尽情奔跑。草坪周围还有围墙与停车场隔开，带着两个年幼的孩子，这让我感到安心许多。
此外还有风车、模型野生动物园、圆形小屋、供孩子们攀爬的吉普车、游乐场，以及热闹有趣的蜜蜂小径。孩子们可以找到所有动物，最后还能得到一张贴纸——这正是能让快四岁的孩子乐在其中的活动！
而且价格也相当亲民。就连通常让人觉得价格离谱的商店，这里的商品定价也相当合理。
不过最令人印象深刻的还是那里的员工。我们遇到的每一个人——咖啡馆里的两位女士、店员，还有在队伍中热情迎接顾客的那个友善的男子——都真的非常友善。主人热情好客，显然对这个地方倾注了不少心血。这种态度真的至关重要。
真是个不可多得的宝地啊。
