Fabulous New Playground (Recently Upgraded)
Lyne Park的点评
点评：Lyne Park is a large foreshore park, with Rose Bay Beach just around the corner.
A significant chunk of it is taken up with tennis courts, playing fields, and car parking. The parking is a real bonus because it's unusually generous for the area and allows up to 4 hours for free.
Apart from this, the park mostly consists of open, grassy spaces. There are certainly prettier parks in the area (Nielsen Park for example) and I wouldn’t send a tourist here but for locals, this is a good public space where you can walk dogs or let kids run around and kick a ball.
One of the more recent addition to Lyne Park is the upgraded playground. It's safely fenced in and is a brilliant play area for kids, with a flying fox and two large climbing frames (one is designed like a seaplane and the other like a pirate ship). There’s a small in-ground trampoline, water-play and a sand pit as well as plenty of shaded areas to sit. Just outside the gates, is a little looped bike track, designed for smaller kids on little bikes and scooters. It has built-in bumps and clickety-clack sections which make it a lot more interesting.
There’s also a couple of cafes, a clean toilet block (over near Jesve cafe) and the beautiful Catalina’s restaurant.
NOTE: For those doing the Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Trail, Lyne Park is a very good starting point.
