We recently visited a winery located about an hour and a half from Athens, and it was a truly lovely experience — absolutely a must-visit.
From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized and welcoming. We started with a coffee, then enjoyed a guided tour of the winery that lasted about half an hour. The explanations were clear, detailed, and very interesting, giving us a great insight into the wine-making process.
After the tour, we sat down for a wine tasting accompanied by cheese and crackers. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, the staff is warm and attentive, and the wines are genuinely delicious.
Overall, the experience was smooth, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. It’s a perfect idea for a day trip, whether you’re a wine lover or simply looking for something different to do near Athens.
They also mentioned that they are currently preparing sweets and accommodation options, so in the future it will even be possible to stay overnight — which sounds very promising.
