Poor experience, sadly won’t be returning

点评：We booked this as an overnight stay and spa break for our wedding anniversary and, unfortunately, had a very mixed experience and won’t be returning.
The spa was uncomfortably cold, both in the general temperature and in all of the pools. When I raised this with staff, I was told the temperatures were “normal,” yet several other guests were also commenting on how cold it was. I mentioned this again at checkout and was told we weren’t the first to complain.
Our room was clean, but the mattress was very old and sagged badly in the middle, which left both of us with backache. We were also disturbed throughout the night by extractor fans that couldn’t be turned off, as well as banging doors in the early hours of the morning, which meant we barely slept.
On a positive note, the restaurant food was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
For the price charged, this venue simply doesn’t justify the cost and falls short compared to other hotels of a similar price bracket. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
