点评:From even before the moment Diane picked me up for this tour, I knew I was in for something very personalised & very special to me specifically. Diane had already furnished me with a lot of additional information about my Great Grandfather’s WW1 service than I had already given to her a few weeks before my tour even began. I was already so invested on being picked up before the tour because of this, & would also like to say that if it hadn’t been for Diane’s help, I may have missed seeing my Great Grandfather’s war grave in Gezaincourt, as I had mistakenly gone to the wrong war cemetery, & I was only able to correct this mistake by rechecking on the more detailed information that Diane had provided me. I could go on all day about how personal, spiritual, & moving every single event during the day was for me, as I am also a veteran who suffers with PTSD from my service, but I will keep things short, as I know this is a review not a novel. Suffice to say that Diane not only takes great pride in her work, but she also works tirelessly to help families get a better understanding of the circumstances their veteran relatives served in during WW1, whether they were survivors, missing, or killed in action. She also expertly explains, & opens up this particular passage of human history to many other visitors, who may not have had relatives serve in this war, but now walk away from a tour with Diane with an absolute understanding of what did occur here in the Somme 1914-1918, & exactly why the memory of those that served & that paid the ultimate sacrifice should always be remembered. Lest We Forget. Thank you Diane
