点评：Simply fascinating… As a Westerns movie and TV fan since a kid, with almost 70 years of Cowboy flicks and episodes watching experience, from playing a cowboy, Zorro and Palladin, enjoying High Noon to Tombstone to El Dorado, as a child and an adult am enamored with America’s west history, geography and wildlife. Walking up and down the Mainstreet and walking down alleys of Mescal and entering the likes of the Livery, Wyatt’s cottage, the theatre, the bank or the Crystal Palace you feel the nostalgia of bygone days, and you re-live those moments today within a set composed of at least 28 studio building replicas of the golden age of Westerns. Many sets are interchangeable, some have been moved here or there, and you’ll get a fascinating perspective of how it seemed to your fave actors to be pretending for us. To actually walk in the footsteps and shadows of the legends of Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, Glenn Ford, and Kurt Russell, just to name a few of the many, many icons that walked these very same streets, alleys and doorways is a fascinating sensation. As you walk around, you will think back and reminisce the movie and television scenes engrained in your memory of the likes of Winchester ’73, Rawhide, Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales or The Quick and the Dead. You are standing in the footsteps of history. The Volunteers who walk you and educate you through this journey into movie history are unique unto themselves. Many have been here doing this for decades and have also been extras in many of the films. There’s many an anecdote and insight, be it legend or true, which they bring to cinema’s tales of the West. Whether you’re a Western movie or TV fan or enjoy history as a whole, this is a must visit – you won’t regret it.
