点评：Whilst this place may indeed be tranquil and picturesque with probably a lovely lakeside walk amongst other things. If the technology thwarts every move to pay the parking charges then you have to move on as we did. Neither of us using mobile phones with different network providers had any signal by the time we eventually got to the car park. Reading the charges notices, of which there are many, is an art in itself as the notices are placed well above eye level with quite small text. It’s clear though that there are no concessions, not even for blue badge holders. To pay you have to download the just park app, and enter the location code number shown, or telephone the number given in tiny lettering below. Either would be fine, were it not for the fact that there is no mobile phone signal. Either the owners of the car park have put technology before common sense and not tested the system, or they’re hoping to make more money from fines for failing to pay then from the parking charges they appear to want to collect. I for one will not be returning to this place. A walk around the old tin mines at nearby Minions was much more interesting, free to park and there’s also a tea rooms in the village as well as toilets. Skip the lake and go there instead would be my advice.
