New Central Park的点评
点评：New Central Park, or just Central Park as it’s often known, confusingly shares a name with the home ground of Kelty’s neighbours Cowdenbeath. It’s become clear to me that the people of Fife have an unusual fixation with buses and Central Parks, which is offset slightly by their far more understandable fixation with Stephen’s Bakery.
Residents Kelty Hearts have seen themselves make a quick rise through the Scottish leagues since the introduction of something resembling a proper pyramid, which makes the fact this Stadium is such a pain to get to all the more frustrating. We got a train to Cowdenbeath then a taxi the short journey between towns, though in true Fife fashion I’m sure it’s accessible via 9 buses? You just have to work out which combination.
Within the town of Kelty itself location is fine, near the only local pub, New Central Park has an attendance of just over 2,000 spectators, with most of that standing, there are covers on the seated main stand, and 2 covered parts of terrace on the other side. You can stand behind the goals but these are exposed. Kelty have been pulling in at least 1,000 fans most games, though it will be interesting to see how they fare as the leagues get tougher.
Facilities comprise of portacabins for toilets (neither the best nor the worst I’ve seen) and catering, which had pretty damn good steak pies to be honest. I only had that but they had a pretty standard selection at fair price points.
Overall, New Central Park isn’t a bad stadium by any means, it’s actually a very typical Scottish lower league stadium. Does it’s job without too many frills. The only real let down is the transport links
