点评：What made this place interesting is that in order to get to where the café is, I had to board their transport from the parking lot. A truck came, I was ushered up behind. Uphill to the estate with the roar of diesel engine, let off where a ticket booth is. Apparently, they have a lovely garden you can visit for a fee, and therefore there was a ticket booth. But for just visiting the café, it was free. Had myself a breakfast there. I went for the chunky bacon on scrambled eggs, hoping for that satisfying bite of juicy, tender goodness like the amazing version I had downtown in one other restaurant. Sadly, this one missed the mark. The bacon was a bit too tough, but credit where it’s due, the scrambled eggs was spot on. The café and restaurant sat within an air-conditioned lodge built over the water, where guests could even feed the fish below. Across the pond, perched on a hill, stood a striking church-like structure adorned with grand arches and towering white statues reminiscent of the Renaissance. According to the staff, part of that building is intended to be a gallery, though it’s not yet open to the public, while the other half serves as the main kitchen. Judging by its size, it could easily cater to an entire battalion. Nearby, construction was underway for a new hotel, adding to the evolving landscape. visited on a rainy, overcast morning in July. The cool breeze that swept in ahead of the downpour was a welcome break from Thailand’s unpredictable bursts of intense heat. I was genuinely surprised to spot several foreign tourists here. This spot isn’t exactly known as a tourist hotspot, or maybe it is now? A nice café escapade.
