点评：The two day Lares Trek & Homestay with Apurimac Adventures was one of our highlights of our Peruvian trip and a great warm-up before the four day three night Inca Trail. We were happy that much of our fees went directly to the women’s cooperative in the high mountains we visited. In this very authentic experience, the brilliantly clad village women lead you up goat trails & you’ll picnic along the way amidst the tranquility of majestic Andes (topping out just over 13,000 ft.). You’ll see weaving demonstrations, vegetable harvesting, guinea pig tending, and (yes, you can help). The food… beautiful, tasty, and straight from the host’s kitchen. The potato soup could’ve come from a Michelin star restaurant!
Odon (super knowledgeable guide) translated the very unique native dialect and was just plain fun to hang with. We did three different tours with Apurimac Adventures…all outstanding and the owner is a class act.
