It has got history, atmosphere, interesting features and great views, well worth a walk around

点评：Monday 22nd September we went exploring and sightseeing in the Marina/Port and waterfront area of Ibiza Town (Eivissa).
There has been a harbour in Ibiza Town for centuries it has been through a number of changes and expansions to it's modern day form, which includes the Marina.
At the time of our visit the Marina/Port was filled with a variety of vessels of all shapes, sizes and uses.
There were a number of ferries moving in and out transporting passengers and vehicles to a variety of destinations. They manoeuvred their way past the private and holiday yachts and catamarans that were moored up. There were some very impressive boats there.
Fishing boats and tourists boats providing excursions and trips also populated the waterfront
As we walked around the pedestrianised area, we did notice a number of interesting features and statues. These included the Hippy Monument, the monument to the People of the Sea and the tribute to the Corsairs who defended the Town (all reviewed separately).
Around the area there are a number of bars and restaurants to get refreshments and sit and enjoy the views and atmosphere of where the old, modern and bohemian aspects of the Marina and Port.
We did also get great views of the Marina from the ramparts at the top of Ibiza Castle and the other way around.
We did visit here again when we caught the ferry to and from Formentera.
The area is recognised by UNESCO for it's cultural heritage.
