点评:We attended the funhouse on Sunday 1st February but on arrival at 2:15pm, we were informed that it was to close at 3pm. However, this was not explained when we enquired by phone on Thursday 29th January and spoke to a male member of staff.
When we arrived, the female member of staff on the desk stated that the male member of staff who took the call hadn’t realised the premises would be shut at 3pm. She then proceeded to say that we could still come in but would be charged, adding it was not their fault nor ours. On hearing this, I stated that it was not acceptable to charge us as it ‘was’ their fault and my grandson’s birthday was now spoiled. She then asked if we would like to speak to the manager which I welcomed.
When the manager arrived at the desk, she was not sympathetic to the situation. My daughter explained that her husband had contacted the funhouse on Thursday 29th January to enquire about attending and bringing along a birthday cake. Sadly, the manager was not in the slightest concerned, reiterating what had already been said by her staff member whilst my four year old grandson was standing there disappointed.
I feel that the staff, including the manager, handled this situation very badly, taking no accountability for the issue and showing no understanding of how this made my grandson feel on his birthday 😔
