Excellent experience miss it at your peril
Ampersand Estates Winery的点评
点评：We went to ampersand on a wet dreary Sunday afternoon. A family of 3 and had the most wonderful intimate experience. We had vodka and gin tastings to start on the cosy sofas. This was conducted by the owners wife I’m sorry we didn’t ask her name. It was great to learn about each spirit and what made it so distinctive. We really enjoyed several of them and ended up buying the gift pack and a bottle of the aged gin. We tasted 2 vodkas and 8 gins.
We also did the wine tasting and moved to the table as we had the grazing platter too. Here nico and Anthony took care of us. We were offered tastings of their full selection as we all had different preferences. Only 14 varieties to sample.
The grazing platter was a delicious range of cold cuts cheddar and Brie almonds and pistachios hummus cornichons olives and feta aices fruit and crackers. Three chutneys accompanied the platter and were excellent It was well presented and looked like a work of art.
The wine tasting was very good and all the more as we had it with the grazing platter.
Nico and sat down and explained the different wines and didn’t rush us. It was one of the best wine tastings I have done.
We were recommended to try their espresso martini as a final drink and this was very delicious but too much for me. Only the young one our 29 year old daughter had the capacity to do it any justice.
The atmosphere at the tasting room is warm and inviting with a mix is sofas and tables. There is also outdoors seating.
The experience rates as one of my favourite on our trip to Australia on this occasion. I’m very envious of anyone who is able
to visit more regularly as they are locals.
