My Sherpa guide was helpful and resilient throughout my treks. From preparing and selecting the equipment and medication required, to explaining meal arrangements and describing certain Nepali dishes, elevation changes from day-to-day, and improvising on the itinerary as we went, leading to trek completion a few days ahead of schedule (buffer days were included, AMS medication helped relieved altitude-induced headache). Glad we had padded in a few buffer days for contingency. Porters did an amazing job carrying all my gear too!
Would have been more helpful to know ahead of time which lodges charged for hot shower or charging of electronic devices.
For example, at Machapucchare Base Camp, they charged 200 NPR per device (normal procedure at remote base campa), and mobile data was very weak/non-existent at night within Annapurna Sanctuary; there were certain routine online activities that I could only do at certain places due to weak signal (note this is out of our control).
