Wondering Reindeer的点评
点评：We had the most wonderful time yesterday on our tour! We were picked up on a comfortable bus just enough for a small group of people less than 20 I think more like 15. Our guide Ole was awesome. The weather was not the best so we knew there may be fjords we may not be able to see but nevertheless we were excited for the day. We were able to see a lot! Somehow the weather cooperated enough that we got to see beautiful sights and fjords we made quick stops at for photos. Ole was very knowledgeable as he’s lived in the area his whole life. He told us about the Sami people, him being one himself and we got to learn a lot them and the challenges as well as triumphs that they’ve faced as a people in Norway.
It was nice to get to stop and use toilets before heading to see the reindeer. Even better were the polar suits we were given that made us feel so comfortable in the cold!
Once we arrived to see the reindeer it was so impressive how many there were! Feeding them was fun but you can’t be scaredy cat! They will come for the food and they are motivated to eat! That was a ton of fun then we went into the Sami tent where his friend Reiulf who tends to the reindeer herd told us about Sami life and culture and they shared their stories and music. Having a hot drink in the tent was really special.
Then we headed out for lunch at a nice hotel. The food was great. It was a truly wonderful, fun relaxing way to spend the day.
I can’t recommend it enough. It was a truly authentic experience.
