点评：We travelled around Sri Lanka with Sri Lanka Travel Secrets and had a wonderful experience. Rather than following the usual tourist route, the itinerary introduced us to the country's culture, landscapes, local communities and incredible hospitality. Every destination offered something unique, making this a memorable journey that we would happily recommend to friends and family.
The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly Jaffna. Our host, Agatha, of the Catamaran Jaffna property, was exceptional. She welcomed us as friends, making us feel at home from the first moment. She prepared the best food we had during our entire stay in Sri Lanka, and when I developed severe back pain, she arranged for me to see a local Ayurvedic doctor who provided one of the best treatments I have ever received. Although the property itself could benefit from renovation, Agatha's warmth, generosity and genuine care made it our favourite place, and I would happily return.
We also loved our stay in Kevan's Casa Hotel at Mahiyanganaya, where the waterfall activities, lake experiences, village life and hospitality were outstanding. The activities were so enjoyable that we would have gladly stayed an extra night there. The rooms were simple but comfortable, while the food and experiences were excellent.
Our stay in Ella, surrounded by the coffee estate at Roseland Cottages and beautiful forest, was another memorable part of the journey. The scenery, coffee experience and peaceful atmosphere were fantastic.
Sri Lanka itself exceeded our expectations. The people were warm and hospitable, and the country's diversity, from ancient heritage and wildlife to mountains and villages, is remarkable.
We left with wonderful memories, new friendships and a genuine appreciation for Sri Lanka. In fact, we are already planning to return, this time to explore more of the north and the east of the country.
