点评：Four of us (all adults) went on an overnight trip from Drake Bay to Sirena station at Corcovado with Gerson, who was an excellent communicator, answering my many queries before the trip. We booked directly with him rather than an agency, and saved some money, especially since I did bank transfers. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained a lot while were at Corcovado, which meant the trails were even muddier (thank goodness for the rented rubber boots!) and the forest was dark and harder to see things. But we still enjoyed the experience. While there were some things we didn’t see that we would have like to, like sloths, we still saw a lot because Gerson is amazing at spotting wildlife. As he told us, he uses all his senses, including hearing and smell. He is also very knowledgeable, and answered our questions and explained what we were seeing with the expertise of a season naturalist. With him we saw a crocodile, a caiman, a boa constrictor, bats, an owl, lots of other birds, the 4 types of monkeys, a red brocket deer, and our favourite - close up views of an anteater and a tapir.
