Our guide and the owner of the company, Mohammed, was truly exceptional:
– impeccable professionalism, always attentive, knowledgeable, and able to read every situation;
– kindness and availability beyond expectations;
– an incredible understanding of the wildlife, the terrain, and the local culture.
Thanks to his experience, we were able to see and photograph 8 Ethiopian wolves, a very rare and deeply emotional sighting. We also spotted a beautiful serval cat, along with many other species: antelopes, birds of prey, endemic birds, and the unique wildlife of the Ethiopian highlands. Every day was different and full of encounters.
The landscapes of Bale are breathtaking: endless highlands, misty forests, high-altitude grasslands, and valleys that feel timeless. The camping experience, always managed by a competent staff, was comfortable and fascinating, while the hotels chosen were the best available along the route.
A final note deserves the food: excellent, well-prepared, plentiful, and surprisingly varied, both during the camping days and in the hotels.
