点评:So it would seem that if you decline the offer of a tour guide (for which you have to pay) then you are treated like some kind of criminal.
I paid for entry into the church and walked up on the ramps to have a look at the mosaics. There is a section which is cordoned off with red and white tape, so I made sure to avoid those areas.
I was just about to leave when the guy from the ticket office walked in to the church and started adjusting the tapes, he then looked at me and shouted that I’m not allowed to walk there and that they have CCTV and can see what I’m doing.
I was pretty annoyed that I’d been accused of something I didn’t, so I shouted back at him that I hadn’t walked in that part. He obviously wasn’t expecting a lone woman to retaliate - at which point he scarpered.
What makes his false accusations all the worse, is that I’ve read several reviews clearly stating that when visitors have paid for a “guide” that they’ve been allowed to enter the cordoned off areas and trample all over these historic mosaics!
Shameful behaviour from people whom seem to favour those who are willing to line their pockets.
