点评:This is the second time I’ve visited Harvington hall. First time I came into contact with a lady who was very rude and unpleasant towards my disabled mother. Forward many years later, this time I visited with a friend. Unfortunately, the shop staff haven’t really improved. They aren’t very welcoming at all. They were all moaning about the till, then the lack of wifi. Hardly a nice friendly welcome to paying visitors. However, our tour guide (11am on Sunday 9th August - sorry I forgot the gentleman’s name) was very engaging and made the history of Harvington hall come to life. We had lunch in the tearoom, the two ladies serving were lovely, and coping well especially as they were clearly understaffed on a busy day. Harvington hall itself is steeped in history of the Elizabethan era and Catholic persecution. I’d recommend visiting but would much prefer to be greeted by more friendlier shop staff/volunteers.
