The Secret Waterfall的点评
点评：We’re Aussies who have lived in Ireland for 3 years and have travelled extensively around the joint. I would rate this right at the top of the list of any of the natural wonders we’ve seen in this beautiful country.
Firstly, the trek to get there is relatively difficult, but highly rewarding. We went with our 5 and 8 year old daughters, and they made it, so it is achievable for people with a decent level of fitness. You MUST make sure you go at low tide, otherwise you’ll either not be able to get there, or get back! Rocks can be ridiculously slippery - we saw several other tourists slip and hurt themselves. However if you take your time, try and tread on the ‘barnacle rocks’ and you should be fine.
To get there, head down from the ‘secret waterfall car park’ along a track through a farmers field. Hit the beach and turn right. From there it’s a 15-20 min trek along rocks.
Amazingly, these rocks are littered with fossils. Absolutely stunning.
When you get there, you walk through a cave to the waterfall. It’s hard to describe just how beautiful it is. Just a magical experience and totally worth the trek (which is an experience in itself).
If you are ever in the area, you shouldn’t miss this. 10/10!
