I recently travelled from Perth down to Margaret River on a full‑day tour, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. Being picked up directly from my hotel made the whole day effortless, and the drive itself was beautiful. We stopped at a few lovely spots along the way, including a cosy café where we enjoyed some coffee — a really charming way to ease into the day.
One of the absolute highlights was the three‑course lunch at Wise. The views were genuinely stunning — the kind that make you pause mid‑conversation — and the food was fantastic. My brother and I are from Sydney, so we’re pretty particular when it comes to dining, and this meal absolutely met (and even exceeded) our expectations. Everything was fresh, well‑presented, and full of flavour.
The wineries we visited were lovely as well, though the only small downside was the wine‑tasting setup. All the wines were served in the same glass, which felt a bit unusual since we’re used to separate glasses for each tasting back home. It didn’t take away from the experience, but it’s something to note if you’re particular about wine etiquette.
Even with that minor detail, the trip was genuinely fantastic. The scenery, the stops, the food, the wine, and the overall flow of the day made it a memorable experience. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Perth and wanting to explore Margaret River without the hassle of driving.
