点评：This National park starts miles before the entrance ~ literally for 10 miles before you arrive - the road turns into a one lane twisty (blind bends) paved road. Definitely made for white knuckle driving~ we only came across one other car driving towards us on both ways of travel. Which the WEST & EAST Entrances DO NOT Connect. So one way in and out of each
Once you arrive the National Park Entrance booth was not in operation ~ signs directed vehicles towards the parking lot for visitors to go to the Center to pay the National Park fee. We showed our lifetime pass and looked around the very small center ~ there was a gift shop, 3 displays showing wildlife you would come across during you visit and a side room that had a video showing in it about the park. You can stay here and 2 different trails 1) Prewett Point .9 mile loop or 2) Jawbone trail that leads straight to Jawbone parking lot.
About 30 parking spots here and very few people were there that day we were ~ through our 3 miles of hiking we only saw 20 people total the whole day! Very Hot and dry here ~ Bring a liter of water per person per hour you intent on being at any location at Pinnacles!
