Booking and payment were effortless. Janelle, the tour coordinator, responded quickly to my inquiry and put together a package that perfectly matched our needs.
Dillon, our captain, is highly experienced, well-prepared, and easygoing. His deep knowledge of both the river’s wildlife and its history added so much to the experience. As we were on a research trip, his insights into the history of the Berbice River led to engaging and thought-provoking conversations throughout the trip.
Trip highlights included spotting a Canje Pheasant in the wild for the first time, seeing the majestic royal palm trees at old Dutch plantations, exploring Fort Nassau, and visiting Dubulay Ranch, Wiruni Creek, and the Wiruni Savannah. The wildlife along the river was incredible—and of course, Juno stole the show! She’s an absolute gem; I was ready to take her home 😊
I highly recommend Captain Dillon and Blackwater Adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back for more adventures!
