Beautifully wine with Sicilian hospitality!

点评：We made a spontaneous trip to Planeta Winery on a lovely day with our baby. The stunning scenery complimented the rustic/traditional building overlooking a large lake. We were immediately greeted by Ginevra who insisted we stay for some wine tasting and no booking was required. She was extremely humble and friendly. Despite saying her English was limited she spoke extremely well telling us all about the history of Planeta. After a short conversation she was expertly able to bring out some wines that were perfect for our palate. She told us all about the grapes, the soil and more of the history. It was an extremely enjoyable experience.
The wines were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Had I not driven I would have happily had more. The wines were exactly as described with a stunning flavour profile. We were able have a box shipped to our home in the UK and hope to order more in future.
Even if you are not wanting to make a purchase this winery is well worth the trip for the wine, the views and the friendly welcome. You feel like you are drinking with friends and will want to return for more.
