Unreliable public transport and rigid booking policy

点评：We booked an 11:00am slot to visit Roque Nublo, but couldn’t make it because the 9:05am number 18 bus from Maspalomas was completely full and the driver refused to let anyone else on. This was on a weekday, which makes it even more confusing that the service only runs three times a day.
The next available bus wasn’t for another four hours, so we missed our reservation entirely. We were then hit with a 30‑day penalty and weren’t allowed to rebook for a different time. A taxi would have cost at least €50, which simply wasn’t reasonable.
Overall, the lack of transport options and the rigid booking policy meant we were unable to enjoy the experience we’d planned.
If you’re planning on visiting Roque Nublo from Maspalomas, be very aware of how unreliable and infrequent the bus timetable is. It also raises concerns about the return journey, even if you manage to get there, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get back if the bus is full, potentially leaving you stranded.
