The Piano Boat的点评
点评：We went on the Piano Boat as a family to celebrate mum's 90th birthday with 8 of us in the party. The pre-planning with the Piano Boat team was faultless taking into account our wishes for style of music and food. The experience certainly lived up to all expectations. The boat itself is beautiful and the performance space intimate and welcoming with the most beautiful sounding Steinway baby-grand piano. After being welcomed by the delightful owner Rhiana with a glass of champagne we went through a canal lock before our pianist Jill delivered a flawless and beautiful recital. The proximity to such a talented pianist and the magnificent tone of the piano is breathtaking.
Next up came the absolutely spectacular food prepared by Rhiana - Beetroot hummus with wholemeal lavosh flatbread, Cocktail sausages with apple sauce, Egg and herb roulade, Cucumber and dill salad (with sumac dressing on the side), Chicken skewers with salsa verde with lime juice, Pavlova with fresh fruit and cream and an amazing Tiramisu. It was all absolutely world-class and superbly catered for one of our gluten-free guests.
The whole experience was 4 hours across a late morning and afternoon, perfectly paced and just the right length. Rhiana and the team were brilliantly attentive but also kept a professional and respectful distance allowing us to celebrate as a family in this delightful and unique setting. 100% recommended.
