Fantastic afternoon of great music in good company and afternoon tea

点评：Saw an article in the Daily Telegraph about this and decided it would be perfect to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. We met at the side of the canal as indicated on the instructions. Someone was at the top of the stairs to the towpath as it was raining. The narrow boat is a wide than normal one to accommodate the grand Piano in the Salon. We were all seated in a really beautifully designed cabin with seats for a maximum of 10 people. Its a slow trip up the canal through some locks then moored for our approx. 45 min recital of Piano and Violin pieces from two professional musicians of a very high standard. Then a delightful afternoon tea with a glass of Champagne for the return trip. Total 4 hours (1-5pm). Other trips have different musicians and programs. I can't speak highly enough of the most delightful afternoon I have spent in a long time. Music quality, proximity of the musicians in a small venue almost like being in your own living room and then a delightful afternoon tea with sandwiches, individual pavlova, mouse and fresh scones. During our trip we talked with the other patrons who were all very nice people. Our host Rhiana was a charming lady and made the afternoon teas herself. He father was our captain. If you like Classical music in a unique venue. This is a fantastic experience. I would give it ten stars if I could.
