点评:How could I not love a restaurant situated in such an historical place! Unfortunately (but sensibly) there is now no access to the original well or cistern but we loved the enthusiastic waiter and the pictures he painted in words.
A recipe for ‘mazamorra’ at the entrance drew us in and I was thrilled to have a tapa of it. I love the cold soups of Andalucía and this one was very thick – the almonds were quite roughly chopped so you could really taste them. We returned in the evening for a few wines, and I had a tapa of a naranja salmorejo which was wonderful, and tortilla. My friend had a salad of cod and oranges and we shared a plate of patatas bravas. Apparently they have flamenco dancing in the front room but we didn’t see this.
Definitely a unique experience to eat mazamorra in such an ancient and historic place.
