点评：I booked the tour very last minute — literally the night before — yet the guide showed up right on schedule the next morning, which I appreciated. During the briefing I asked to add the castle ruins, a stop that wasn’t originally included in the route I was sent, and the company eventually agreed. Throughout the day we made several planned stops around the northern part of the island: the lone baobab, the so-called “dragon’s back,” a Salt lake, and a picturesque beach close to Mitsamiouli village. Lunch was included, although we ended up waiting roughly forty minutes because another group from the same company joined us for the meal. The food itself was simple but acceptable — fish with vegetables — nothing more than that. By the time we returned, it was already 16:00, so the outing lasted about eight hours, noticeably shorter than what I would consider a full-day tour. The guide was pleasant, talked about the island’s background and traditions, and did his best to answer my questions.
Even so, the tour left me somewhat conflicted. One of the places listed in the itinerary I received beforehand wasn’t visited at all. We spent a lot of the day driving, while the actual time at each stop rarely exceeded twenty to thirty minutes. Considering the cost, it felt like the program could have been more substantial. The water situation also puzzled me: on a very hot day, only 1.5-liter bottle was provided for the entire duration, which simply isn’t enough. And once the tour was over, no one from the company reached out to ask how things went, which doesn’t give the impression that guest experience matters much to them. In general, the day wasn’t bad, but the combination of small omissions and avoidable oversights kept it from being truly satisfying.
