Nice beach, lots to do, a colourful spectacle, very busy with no personal space

点评：Wednesday 4th February and we visited this rather busy beach.
The beach itself is roughly 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) long. The white sand is washed by the Caribbean Sea.
We did not stay on the beach our experience of it was walking along the Boardwalk which stretches the length of the Beach. As we had a limited time on the Island we wanted to see a much as possible, so lounging on the beach was not an option.
It is roughly a 2 kilometre walk from the Port here, alternatively there is a water taxi service to the beach $7 return, children under 3 travel free.
As well as the water taxis the beach is accessible by walking the pathway from the Port or down one of the small side streets off the Main Road, Front Street. One of these streets is Walter Plantz Williams Square, reviewed separately.
We walked along the boardwalk which is lined on one side with a plethora of bars and restaurants, the beach is on the other. Dotted around the boardwalk and beach are a number of interesting features, reviewed separately as Boardwalk Oddities .
The beach was a colorful spectacle with the number of umbrellas on the beach, they provided shade for the visitors relaxing on the sunloungers. There were rows and rows of sunloungers and umbrellas to hire, lined up on the beach. In some instances the beds were almost touching each other, not much personal space, they were certainly crammed in.
We did notice that there were a number watersport activities available on the beach including jet ski rental, inflatable rides, including banana boat an water trampolining.

我们注意到，海滩上有很多水上运动项目，包括摩托艇租赁、充气游乐设施（如香蕉船和水上蹦床）。
