Turtles & Tacos on Alii Nui catamaran

点评：This was my family’s 2nd time on the Ali Nui ship, but our 3rd tour with the company. We did the turtles and tacos trip. Keep in my, my family has 7 people so my experience might differ depending on the size of your family.
This time, our family did the 3 hour trip, which IMO was much more tolerable and enjoyable than the all day one. We left our hotel at 10 and arrived back to the harbor at 2:20. (I have to say, the all day ones start very early and are very long but if you are up for that, go for it)
We were familiar with the crew members from other snorkeling trips which gave the boat a more familiar feel. The boat itself is extremely clean and a very large catamaran. I also have to say, the seating is a huge improvement from previous boats like Ali Kai. the ship had 2 bathrooms which were fairly large and also very clean.
During the snorkel, the crew were in the water with us as the rest of ship members set up lunch. In the water we spent about 45 minutes give or take. My family saw about 4 turtles. The water was pretty waves do to the extreme wind but still enjoyable.
After our snorkel, lunch was reday. We had tacos, with chicken rosa, fajita veggies, cheese, rice, sour cream and chips with salsa. With a choice of entire corn or flour tortillas. The food was decemt. Luckily, for our shop we were able to come across a very active humpback whale on our journey back to the harbor. Very excitng to see.
All in all, the crew was fabulous and so eager to help out in the water, on the boat, or with whatever you could possibly need. The captain (Josh) also did amazing navigating the ship especially on a very windy day.
I would recommend this tour for family’s, couples or individuals looking to do some snorkeling tours in Maui.
