点评：We had an amazing trip through Madagascar with Mada Manga Tours and our guide/driver, Faneva. He drove us safely across the country and shared so much about the nature, culture, and daily life in Madagascar. Because it’s an intensive trip where you spend many hours on the road to visit as many national parks as possible, you end up spending a lot of time together in the car. That’s exactly why it was so great that Faneva is not only an excellent guide, but also a genuinely pleasant and fun travel companion. We couldn’t have wished for a better match.
During the planning phase, we hesitated: rent a car ourselves or travel with a guide? Choosing Mada Manga Tours was, in hindsight, the best decision. Self-driving turned out to be more expensive and far more complicated. Along the way we encountered multiple police stops asking for money, several river crossings, and some extremely bad road conditions. In those moments, we were especially grateful to have someone with us who speaks the language, understands the local customs, and knows exactly how to navigate the routes safely and efficiently.
Overall: much cheaper, far more relaxed, and a much richer experience than driving ourselves. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our choice for Faneva and Mada Manga Tours. Highly recommended.
