点评:This is a fascinating and hugely informative place - so much more than just a museum. We were warmly welcomed at the door and given the all of the information we needed to make the most of our visit by Abby.
The short Zulu War film sets the scene perfectly (every day is indeed a school day!) before looking around the huge collection (set out beautifully in a relatively small space) covering the regimental history from the late 1600’s to the Irish ‘troubles’ and present day. All sorts of exhibits including a number of Victoria Cross medals with moving tributes to the recipients.
Next stop was the Cathedral to see the original Regimental Colours on display there.
Well worth visiting if in Brecon and special thanks to Abby for the alternative route to the top of Pen y Fan which we have completed today - much appreciated!
