Peters Prairie Vineyard的点评
点评：We decided to check this place out on a Sunday afternoon drive and what a pleasant experience. We had never heard of it before and it is somewhat in the middle of no man’s land BUT a really nice visit all around.
It is located directly on a good stretch of highway northwest of Fredericksburg. It has a small parking area in front of the small building.
There is lounge seating and a few tables inside but the back area has lots of open seating under trees. The day we visited it was a beautiful day with clouds and a nice breeze.
The tasting bar is very small and we were immediately greeted by a very friendly young lady.
We opted to buy a bottle of the Pinot Grigio ($25) and she kept it chilled for us and visited us outside for a refill. The rest we took home with us. It was very refreshing with apparent citrus and honeysuckle notes. It was perfect for a crisp, chilled wine on a warm, breezy day.
We also bought a bottle of the Paisano Blend ($30) but have not tried it yet.
Their label and glass ($10) is Texas all the way with a roadrunner and cactus.
The owner was also in the tasting room visiting with some people but we did not interrupt.
It was worth our 1 ½ drive to check it out and see this part of Texas in a very relaxing setting (although the highway noise is obvious).
If you find yourself in the vicinity, stop in and enjoy this venue.
