点评:Sego Canyon is the site of several large petroglyph and pictograph panels and a ghost town. The petroglyph site is easy to get to on a decent dirt road a few miles past Thompson Springs (itself nearly a ghost town), which is just off I-70. There’s one large panel on a cliff face visible from the parking lot and informational sign and another just to the right (not mentioned on the sign). Apparently there’s another panel on private property across the road that I missed. I drove up the road attempting to find the ghost town, but there’s no sign for it and I got concerned about ominous no trespassing signs and a rapidly-worsening road and turned around. I guess that part of the appeal of sites like this is how little-known they are, but do your homework before visiting this one so it’s worth the effort.
