Don’t Skip the Visitor Center for Biscayne National Park—It’s Worth the Stop!

点评：If you’re visiting Biscayne National Park, don’t skip the Dante Fascell Visitor Center—it’s the perfect introduction to the park and a great way to round out your trip.
The center is completely free to visit and has a peaceful setting right on the shoreline, with a scenic boardwalk trail and views out over the water. Inside, you’ll find interactive exhibits all about the park’s unique ecosystems, from coral reefs and mangroves to the formation of the Florida Keys. It’s a small but really well-done space, with plenty to explore whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning park lover.
We especially loved the 3D relief designs on the entrance sign (perfect for a photo op!) and the beautiful compass rose mosaic on the lower level. There’s also a gift shop where you can pick up National Park souvenirs and get your passport stamp, which is always a highlight for us.
If you’re doing any of the park’s tours, this is also the meeting point for several of them—including the kayak tour we took through the mangroves.
It’s informative, peaceful, and a great place to spend an hour or two before or after your adventure on the water!
